<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Permanent Outdoor Covered Structures grant program<\/strong>:\u00a0 The status of the first round of this program is reviewed semi-monthly at the City of Sandy Ec Dev Advisory Board meeting \u2013 here is the status of the program as of July 2023:<br><ul><li>Tollgate Inn \u2013 Project rebid underway.\u00a0 Scope of work and plan distributed to three local contractors.\u00a0 Bid deadline is Wednesday, August 16<sup>th<\/sup> at 3PM.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All other projects are now structurally complete and under contract.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three applicants from the first round of this program have already completely satisfied the financial responsibilities for the applicant portion of their project.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Covered Structures Round 2<\/strong>:\u00a0 Designs for the second round of the City of Sandy Covered Structures grant program were reviewed at the SURA and City Council meetings on January 3<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2022.\u00a0 <strong>Round 2 of the Covered Structures Program was completed in March of 2023.<br><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sandy Comprehensive Plan:&nbsp;<br><br><\/strong><em><\/em><ul><li>Tabling at the Sandy Mtn Festival:&nbsp; Sandy\u2019s Ec Dev Manager assisted representatives from 3J Consulting in gathering data on Saturday, July 8<sup>th<\/sup> in the City Hall parking lot.&nbsp; Feedback was a bit more sparse than staff was hoping for, but good data was collected at this event.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>CAC Meeting #7: The 7<sup>th<\/sup> Community&nbsp;Advisory Committee was hosted in Council Chambers at 6:30 PM on July 13th with staff assistance.&nbsp; Commercial Properties (vacancies, new businesses, reports, etc.)<\/u><\/em>:<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>New business \u2013 38888 Pioneer Boulevard:\u00a0 <\/strong>This building was recently purchased by Marlin Good, an Estacada businessman.\u00a0 Mr. Good is currently discussing a lease with a couple that would like to set up another daycare facility at the site \u2013 this couple currently operates a similar facility in Damascus.\u00a0 <br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><u>Econ Devl \u2013 Internal Projects<\/u><\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Downtown maintenance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Flower baskets:&nbsp; <\/strong>Holding steady \u2013 our watering crew seems to have the watering, fertilizing and application of petunia bug insecticide down to a science now.&nbsp; Surprisingly, we have yet to lose a basket this year to a collision with a big rig.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AF Downtown Maintenance<\/strong>:&nbsp; Preparing to start work on the second tranche of work \u2013 work to include weeding planter strips at 7-Eleven, the back of the VFW, the empty lot next to Meadowlark Ski &amp; Snowboard and the Small Change Car Wash, cleanup of the Farmer\u2019s Market lot and removing suckers from the street trees on Pioneer\/Proctor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><s><u><br><\/u><\/s><\/em><em><u>Econ Devl \u2013 Economic Development Advisory Board<\/u><\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There was no EDAB meeting in July.&nbsp; The next meeting has been delayed until September 2023 due to the summer break.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><u>Econ Devl \u2013 Conferences\/training<\/u><\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were no conferences or training opportunities for Economic Development in the month of July.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Internal projects:&nbsp;
