\n<\/strong>Rendezvous with a Raptor – 69 people came to this great program presented by Hawkwatch International!
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kids Ongoing<\/strong>
\nStorytime – Wee Ones 158 parents and kids. Preschool 102,\u00a0 Hoodland 66<\/p>\n

Wy’East Artisans Art Club – 42 parents and kids<\/p>\n

Saturday Afternoon Kids Club – LEGO Club Sandy 21 Hoodland 16, MakerSpace Sandy 10, Art Club Hoodland 2<\/p>\n

Read to the Dog – 6 kids read in 2 weeks.\u00a0 Our regular dog (Ananda) can no longer visit the library due to health reasons.\u00a0 We are working on getting another regular dog, until then, we have fill in dogs every other week.<\/p>\n

Teen Special<\/strong>
\n\"\"<\/a>Teen Lock-In – 67 teens attended for karaoke at Ant Farm and games and YouTube at the Library (we were competing with the Homecoming game at the High School).<\/p>\n

Haunted Library “Asylum” planning – 62 teens attended planning meetings for the upcoming Haunted Library (October 19th – All Ages Welcome!)<\/p>\n

MakerSpace – 35 teens attended (20 at the marshmallow challenge!)<\/p>\n

Adult Special<\/strong>
\nCover Crops and Winter Vegetables – 28 people attended this Sandy Seed Library Program presented by Kris LaMar, OSU Master Gardener.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>2 Weeks Ready – 25 people attended this Emergency Management talk given by our very own City Manager Kim Yamashita.<\/p>\n

Medicare with Confidence – 7 people came to this program at Hoodland<\/p>\n

Adult Ongoing<\/strong>
\n\"\"<\/a>Library Coffee House – 85 people came to listen to the Bluegrass, Americana, and Traditional music of Kory Quinn and Bob Soper<\/p>\n

Book Club – Women’s 14 people attended to discuss The Orchardist<\/em> by Amanda Coplin, Hoodland 9 people attended to discuss Matters of Doubt\u00a0<\/em>by Warren Easley, Men’s 8 people attended to discuss Good Morning, Midnight<\/em> by Lily Brooks-Dalton<\/p>\n

Mt Hood Farmer’s Market – We talked to 47 people at the market, and gave out 15 seed packets.\u00a0 As of the end of September the library had checked out 2993 seed packets!<\/p>\n

Photography Group – 8 people went on the Photography Walk to Buddha Kat Winery (see photos below)\u00a0 Thea also set up a Photography Club group showing at Antfarm.\u00a0 9 people from the Club showed their work!<\/p>\n

\"\"Banned Books Week is an annual awareness campaign promoted by the American Library Association and Amnesty International, that celebrates the freedom to read, draws attention to banned and challenged books,\u00a0and highlights persecuted individuals.\u00a0 We had a great interactive Display at Sandy this year which asked people to mark down which banned or challenged books they have read.<\/p>\n
