\nSandy<\/strong> – 38 hats, gloves, and scarves and 137 personal care products for the Sandy Community Action Center.
\nHoodland<\/strong> – 106 hats, gloves and scarves for the Hoodland Community Christmas Basket progam.
\nKids Programs<\/strong>
\nOngoing<\/strong>
\nVista Apartments – 66 kids and 4 parents – the theme was garbage and recycling.\u00a0 Kids did a scavenger hunt (finding info in books), an upcycled art project, and Clackamas County Waste Reductions Specialist Robert Jimenez-Sutton did a program on\u00a0recycling<\/span>\u00a0and understanding food waste.<\/p>\n

\nDia de los Muertos – 128 people came to celebrate the Day of the Dead.\u00a0 We had cookie painting, crafts, a musician, and many organizations to assist with the program.<\/p>\n

\nCoffee House – 46 people came to hear the new pianist John Nilsen.<\/p>\n

ESOL Tutoring (English for Speakers of Other Languages) – 27 learners met with 21 volunteer tutors in 15 sessions.<\/p>\n

Photography Group – 10 people came to share photos and photography problems members have been wrestling with.<\/p>\n

Book Clubs:
\nMen’s – 9 people discussed Beyond Words: What animals think and feel<\/em> by Carl Safina
\nWomen’s – 8 people discussed\u00a0The Wonder<\/em> by Emma Donoghue
\nHoodland – 9 people discussed\u00a0Slaughterhouse Five<\/em> by Kurt Vonnegut<\/p>\n

Every Ending is a Beginning – 6 people came to hear Judith Ashley discuss how our lives from birth to death are a series of endings and beginnings.<\/p>\n
