DHS is back in the Library!  Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mobile Printing <\/strong>Send prints from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.\u00a0 Once the print job is sent, it will sit in a queue waiting to be released to print.\u00a0 Call the library on the same day to have staff release the print job. Pick up your prints in person or through Curbside Service.\u00a0\u00a0
Sandy – 31 users printed 70 jobs (226 pages)
Hoodland -25 users printed 103 jobs (267 pages)

Sandy – 2516 sessions. Averages 84 sessions\/day (down from 89 last month) 10,183 items
Hoodland – 637 sessions.\u00a0 Averages 25 sessions\/day (up from 24 last month) 2238 items

We checked out a total of 12,421<\/strong> items(up from last month\u2019s 12,370)through curbside pickup and browsing.

Harry Potter’s Birthday -150 people attended. We made light up wands, quiddich balls, and sorted people into houses.

<\/strong>Vista Apartments – 55 kids attended Summer Reading Programs presented by Wy\u2019East Artisans Guild, LEGO Guy, Clackamas County (Composting with Worms), and Rick Reynolds (Bugs!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandy After School Kids’ Club – 10 kids and 7 adults made LEGO creations at LEGO Club and created sun prints <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take & Make – 135 kids (115 Sandy, 20 Hoodland) picked up supplies for weaving.  Our Take & Make kits for kids are  available on the 15th with an additional video on Facebook in case you can’t make it to the Make & Take program!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading Tutoring – 8 one hour sessions of reading tutoring (2 tutors and 2 students each).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Read to a Dog – 1 kid read to a dog in person in the library

Storytimes <\/strong>
<\/strong>Storytime videos were posted in our Facebook Group: Sandy and Hoodland Libraries – Storytime Parents Group.  Use numbers were recorded after 1 week. All Storytimes were presented by librarian Monica Smith – unless otherwise noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anime Club – 6 teens attended to watch anime and connect with each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lotus Lantern Craft Workshop – in partnership with the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project.  22 people attended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Writing Group  – 12 people attended our twice monthly writing group led by volunteer Gary Dohrer.  Gary is a retired English professor with over 30 years of experience teaching writing and literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
