Alex Steinmetz joins Sandy and Hoodland Libraries as our graphic design and public relations Library Assistant!  <\/strong>Alex first joined the Library Advisory Board in January 2023, then began working as a substitute clerk for the libraries in August 2023.  She started in her new position In March 2024.  Alex is a whiz at creating social media campaigns.  Look for her posts on Facebook, Instagram, and NextDoor, as well as a fresh eye on our library fliers and digital designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ODHS is in the Library. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm for drop-in assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading Tutoring – 26 one hour sessions of reading tutoring\u00a0 at Sandy (1 tutor and 1 student each).

<\/strong>Author Talk – Bayocean: Atlantis of Oregon<\/em> by Jerry Sutherland.  15 people attended this talk about the 1906 vision of T. B. Potter and his partner, Harkness Chapin, Bayocean was to be a grand resort town located along the Tillamook Spit that protects Tillamook Bay from the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creation Station – Creation Station is a twice monthly interactive program that welcomes adults with disabilities.  17 people attended on the 2nd Monday of the month and 13 attended on the 4th Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
