Seed Check-outs and Donations<\/strong>
In 2024, we had 3045 packets of seeds checked out.  Brianna Chase, our Seed Library Coordinator reports that this year, we have received seed packet donations from 4 nurseries\/companies totaling $1209.87.
Baker Creek = $$368.75
Peaceful Valley = $81.82
Portland Nursery = $450.00
Territorial Seed = $309.30

Game Donations <\/strong>
Our new Teen Librarian Kris Ritchie has been busy digging into Teen services.  He wrote to multiple game companies asking for donations of games.  Thus far Kris has received a grand total of $1,508.46 in games! Most of these games will be set aside for teen programs, but some (especially for younger or older groups) will go into the Library of Things collection. <\/strong>Mobile Stabilization and Outreach Unit – 12 clients and 10 service providers attended.\u00a0 This unit is coordinated by Parole and Probation Officer, Amanda Denis from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office with the help of community partners: Love One, 4D, Central City Concern, Parrott Creek, Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO), ODHS and Clackamas Behavioral Health.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Watch this quick video<\/a> about what this resource means to community members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take & Make – 100 (80 Sandy, 20 Hoodland) people pick up supplies to create a Positive Affirmations kit.  Adult Take and Makes are ready on the 15th of each month<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fiber Arts Circle – 59 people attended in the Fireplace Room on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons, and 8 attended our first month of Fiber Arts in Hoodland!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

American Red Cross Blood Drive – 31 people attended and 27 donated blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mahjong – 15 people attended the beginner mahjong lesson with regular play afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

French Conversation group <\/strong>– 4 people attended this group at Hoodland Library<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Computer Classes – 4 people attended Keyboard and Mouse, Computer Basics, Internet Basics, and  Google Drive and Google Docs classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Book-a-Librarian – 3 people attended to transfer data from an old phone to a new one, download apps onto a new iPad, and ascertain why calls are not coming through on their phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
