\"libraryFredMeyer2015\"<\/a>On Monday, June 1st, the Sandy Library participated in Red, White, and Barbeque<\/strong>, an event in the Fred Meyer parking lot. \u00a0Fred Meyer gave out free barbecue, and the library gave out library cards, information on library services, an did a craft with kids.<\/p>\n

\"pablograbiel\"The performer at the Library Coffee House <\/strong>On June 5th\u00a0was Pablo Grabiel and the Steelstalkers. \u00a0The Coffee House brough 299 people into the library to listen to the music, eat treats, and chat with their neighbors.<\/p>\n

\"Every-Hero-Burst-Summer-Readingcopy\"<\/strong>The Summer Reading <\/strong>progams have begun! \u00a0Starting June 15th kids, teens, and adults can pick up their summer reading materials at the Sandy and Hoodland Libraries. \u00a0Join the fun! \u00a0Summer Reading runs through the end of August. \u00a0Prizes for all ages. \u00a0Summer Reading Programs for kids start in July at the Sandy and Hoodland Libraries, as well as at the Vista Apartments! \u00a0Visit the library\u00a0website<\/a> for more information about Summer Reading.<\/p>\n

Our Saturday Afternoonb Kids’ Club Craft Program<\/strong> has been continuing to grow! \u00a0This month we\u00a0created these fun fish pinwheels. \u00a0The Craft Club takes place every third Saturday of the month!\"KidsClubCraft2\"<\/a>\"KidsClubCraft\"<\/a><\/p>\n

June 22, 24, and 26th, the Sandy Library hosted the Parks and Recreation Department Summer Kids’ Camp<\/strong> for two hours at the library. \u00a0The kids played with LEGOs, did craft projects, and played Minecraft. \u00a0Fun was had by all!<\/p>\n

Networking<\/strong><\/p>\n

On June 11th, Sarah and Diane Downey attended a two hour meeting titled State of the Arts & Cultural Heritage<\/strong> at the Resort on the Mountain. \u00a0This meeting run by the Clackamas County Arts Alliance, brought together artists and those promoting the arts in the mountain corridor to discuss how to market and improve cultural tourism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
