The Library Coffee House took place on July 1st, and Biddy on the Bench played their Old-world Folk, Irish Traditional, Shanty music for an appreciative audience of 97 people.<\/p>\n

Susie Jenkins led our adult Journal Writing class that began on July 2nd. \u00a0This was a four week class that 10 people attended.<\/p>\n

Tuesdays in July continued our Teen Tuesday’s Open Gaming Lab. \u00a016 Teens attended throughout the month.<\/p>\n

Actor’s Dojo presented Neil Simon’s Star Spangled Girl<\/em>\u00a0on July 13th for an eager audience of 22 people.<\/p>\n

We held an informational\/recruitment meeting for volunteers to help teach English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Classes. \u00a025 prospective volunteers were there to learn about this exciting program under People, Places, Things, LLC. \u00a0We will be holding a student recruitment\/pilot\u00a0class\u00a0from 6-7:30\u00a0on the evening of August 23rd!<\/p>\n

The Lunch Bunch, a group from Oral Hull wanted advice on how to begin a book club. \u00a0Maureen Skinner, Reference Librarian spoke to 20 people on July 16th.<\/p>\n

The Library had a table at Oral Hull’s first Sip, Eat, Stroll fundraiser on July 23rd. \u00a0We spoke with 34 about library services.<\/p>\n

Training<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chief Yamashita of the Sandy Police Department held a self-defense class for library staff. \u00a0We learned a great deal, and got practice hands on practice.<\/p>\n
