Sandy Woods No. 2:<\/strong> The plat for the Sandy Woods No. 2 subdivision to the south of Kelso Road was recorded in May. This subdivision has 43 lots, trails, and open space. Staff are already reviewing house plans for four (4) new single family homes in this subdivision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transit Department Operations Center Building:<\/strong> The City of Sandy Transit Department received approval to construct a new pre-engineered operations and maintenance building at 16610 Champion Way. The gross building square footage is 7,421 square feet with 5,228 square feet on the main floor and a 2,193 square foot mezzanine. The building is a part of the Sandy Operations Center Master Plan and will provide much needed office, training, and maintenance space for the Sandy Transit Department. This will allow the City Transit Department the capacity to provide driver training (CDL and transit), office space, break space, and City-wide vehicle maintenance. <\/p>\n\n\n

Liepold Farms Fruit Stand: <\/strong>The City approved the temporary use permit for Liepold Farms to set up a fruit stand to sell locally grown strawberries and blueberries and other fruit. Liepold Farms will set up its stand at the same location where the Sandy Farmer\u2019s Market holds its Friday event. The applicant is proposing to use the same ten-foot by ten-foot prefabricated gazebo displaying \u201cSandy Style\u201d design elements that was used for last year\u2019s fruit stand. The fruit stand is proposed to be open seven (7) days a week. Hours of operation will be Saturday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and every Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm from June 1, 2026, through August 30, 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
