The adjustment will assist in the construction of an addition to the existing home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The adjustment procedure allows the Director or his\/her designee to grant or deny an adjustment request that involves only the expansion or reduction of a quantifiable provision of the Sandy Development Code by not more than 20 percent. Their application qualified. The Developmental Services staff enjoys working with homeowners to find solutions and provide flexibility for their home additions and other investments into their properties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Building Division Update:<\/strong><br>Permits Issued = 28<br>C of O\u2019s Issued = 1 for a single family home, and 2 for new businesses (no new ERUs associated with the two new businesses of Jersey Mike&#8217;s Subs or Allstate)<br>ERUs Issued = 3 single family homes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Business Licenses Update:<\/strong><br>21 new business licenses were applied for in the month of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inside city limits business licenses for commercial\/industrial: 3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Home based business licenses: 7<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outside city limits business licenses: 11<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Code Enforcement Report:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/planning\/files\/2026\/08\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"633\" src=\"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/planning\/files\/2026\/08\/image-1024x633.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1835\" title=\"Chart\" srcset=\"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/planning\/files\/2026\/08\/image-1024x633.png 1024w, https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/planning\/files\/2026\/08\/image-300x186.png 300w, https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/planning\/files\/2026\/08\/image-768x475.png 768w, https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/planning\/files\/2026\/08\/image-485x300.png 485w, https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/planning\/files\/2026\/08\/image.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>7 citations were issued in the month of June\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 citations were issued for violations of the sign regulations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 citations were issued for noxious vegetation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 citation was issued for the continued occupation of a recreational vehicle in violation of the City zoning regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 of the 12 properties identified for requiring sidewalk repairs have agreed to hire their own contractors or do the work themselves<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 properties were posted as \u201cdangerous buildings\u201d due to having water service shut-off for more than 7 days due to delinquent payment.
