{"id":476,"date":"2016-11-07T17:27:26","date_gmt":"2016-11-07T17:27:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/planning\/?p=476"},"modified":"2016-11-14T16:57:58","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T16:57:58","slug":"october-2016-planning-and-building-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/planning\/2016\/11\/07\/october-2016-planning-and-building-report\/","title":{"rendered":"October 2016 &#8211; Planning and Building Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;font-style: inherit;color: inherit\">1) APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED\/UNDER REVIEW\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a) File 16-029 VAR &#8211; Type III variance requesting Planning Commission approval to waive parking drive aisle requirements. \u00a0A second hearing was conducted on October 24 and the the applicant requested a continuance of that hearing to December 12.<\/p>\n<p>b)\u00a0File 16-039 SUB\/VAR &#8211; Type III subdivision and variance for a 38 lot subdivision on Arletha Court (Birdsong Subdivision.<\/p>\n<p>c) File 16-041 MOD &#8211; Type II major modification to the approved site plan (add parking) for the Pioneer Building conversion to a middle school.<\/p>\n<p>d) Urban Growth Boundary project udpate &#8211; The draft UGB Expansion report has been sent to DLCD and was released to the public on October 20th. \u00a0We have scheduled a public hearing before the Planning commission on November 28, 2016 and a work session with the Council on December 13.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-weight: bold;font-style: inherit;color: inherit\">2)\u00a0BUILDING DIVISION ACTIVITY\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>a)\u00a0Total value for the month was $1,696,870.<br style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit;color: inherit\" \/>b) 4 permits for single family dwellings with a value of $824,016. \u00a0<br style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit;color: inherit\" \/>c) 2 permits for additions to single-family dwellings with a value of $1,900.<br style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit;color: inherit\" \/>d) 0 duplexes.<br style=\"font-weight: inherit;font-style: inherit;color: inherit\" \/>e) 11 commercial permits with a value of $862,604.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other Projects:<\/strong> \u00a0We recently started conducting a customer survey for the Building Department. \u00a0The Planning Director and City Manager are conducting one-on-one interview\/surveys with various contractors who have done work in Sandy in the last year or so.
