Officer’s Olmos, Wetherbee and Chief Yamashita completed Run Hide Fight training at all branches oft he Clackamas County Banks this month. It was so well received that they had us back to teach disaster preparedness and Earthquake training.<\/p>\n
Accreditation Renewal preparation is complete and our application was sent to the Oregon Accreditation Alliance for our renewal. Inspection of our renewal application and supporting documents is now underway and in pending status. We should hear something very soon. We are anticipating our renewal certification award at the Oregon Association of Chief’s of Police award dinner in Bend this April, 2016.<\/p>\n
Chief Yamashita was a guest at the Oregon Impact Annual luncheon on March 16th. Oregon Impact is a non-profit working on reducing DUII, distracted driving and other fatalities on the roads in Oregon.<\/p>\n
SPD sponsored a Spring Break Self-Defense class for mom’s and daughters on March 21st. It was attended by about 20 individuals that had a great time and learned a little something.<\/p>\n
