ADMINISTRATION<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The management team attended a meeting on Core Values Indexing as a tool for building better teams, while we found the process very interesting the cost of the program was extremely high and we had to pass on the program.\u00a0 The management team attended a one day training conference on team building and coaching that was informative and fun.\u00a0 \u00a0We had a CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) Audit\/ Assessment\u00a0of our security enforcement, physical and technical security, encryption, identification, authentication, firewalls, and virus protection as it relates to the criminal justice information we use and store.\u00a0 We have a few small processes to correct, but overall the audit went very well.<\/p>\n

INVESTIGATIONS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Detective Bickle is working on several open cases; however the majority of his time in April was spent conducting background checks for reserve officers.\u00a0 He also worked on or closed seven other cases including Theft and Identify theft.<\/p>\n

CODE ENFORCEMENT<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Code Enforcement Officer Moody, wrote 18 tickets in April. He took in 17 new complaints and closed 22 to code enforcement complaints.\u00a0 Two dogs were taken to the Clackamas County Shelter and one was taken home.\u00a0 He investigated two animal abuse cases both of which were not criminal.\u00a0 He also passed all the requirements for promotion to Solo Patrol Status as a reserve.\u00a0 This is a big accomplishment and took years of training and dedication.\u00a0 Please pass on your congratulations next time you see him.<\/p>\n

PROPERTY ROOM MONTHLY REPORT<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We took in 338 pieces of evidence this month.\u00a0 The number is much higher than usual and is a result of a theft case that involved 300 pieces of evidence.\u00a0 We purged 15 items from the evidence room.\u00a0 Ms. Smith made two trips to the crime lab.\u00a0 Due to the vehicle break-in case (10-15 vicitms) and the recovery of property taken during the commission of this crime, Ms. Smith had quite a bit of extra work load dealing with all the victims.\u00a0 But we were able to get a lot of the property back to its rightful owners.<\/p>\n
