Peak day water delivery\u00a0was 0.975 MG on the 21st. A total of 6.09 inches of rainfall were recorded at the treatment plant site during May. Delivery and pumping from the Portland Water Bureau source was consistent throughout May. Both the booster pump station and transfer pump station ran without significant problems. Work on the Intertie project continued. Landscaping and paving was completed at the booster pump station and reservoir sites. The contractor is working on punchlist items. The change order for the Skyview Acres connection will add some time to the contract. We hope top have it closed out by the end of July.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SEWER<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; A total of 39,000,000 gallons of wastewater were treated and pumped to Iseli Nursery and used for irrigation.\u00a0Minimum flow was 0.91 MGD on the 24th. Maximum day flow was 2.4\u00a0MGD on the 9th. Rainfall was .70&#8243; on May 8th\u00a0and 1.40&#8243; on the 9th. \u00a04.47 inches of rainfall were recorded at the treatment plant site during May. \u00a0BOD concentration was 12.8 mg\/l; BOD loading was 118\u00a0lbs.; permit allows 10 mg\/l and 125 lbs.; SS concentration was 5.6\u00a0 mg\/l; SS loading was 60\u00a0lbs.; permit allows 10 mg\/l and 125 lbs. We were in compliance with our discharge permit for the month of May. Effluent BOD and SS permit limits do not apply when the treated wastewater is used for land application &#8211; these figures are shown to demonstrate treatment efficiency.\u00a0\u00a0 No sludge\u00a0was processed during the month. \u00a0The pumps at Marcy St.; Northside, Southside, Southeast, Southwest and Meinig Ave. lift stations ran a total of 772\u00a0hours with no significant problems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STREETS<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0The street sweeping contractor spent 47\u00a0hours sweeping streets and collected more than 15\u00a0tons (23 cu. yds.) of debris, covering 136\u00a0lane miles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PARKS \/ OTHER &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Mowing of turfgrass in City parks continued\u00a0in May. Because of the new\u00a0turf added at Bornstedt Park\u00a0we have let a contract for mowing at Sandy Bluff Park.
