City staff disinfected, refilled and returned to service Vista Loop No. 1 reservoir. This will allow us to drain and inspect the Revenue Ave. and Vista Loop No. 2 reservoirs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WASTEWATER &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>A total of 44<em>,<\/em>430,000 gallons of sewage were treated and discharged to Tickle Creek and the land application site. Minimum flow was 1.04 MGD on the 22nd<em>\u00a0<\/em>. Maximum flow was 2.3\u00a0MGD on the 1st.\u00a0(rainfall was 0.25\u00a0inches on March 31st\u00a0and 0.25\u00a0inches on April\u00a01st). A total of 4.6\u00a0inches\u00a0of rainfall was recorded during\u00a0April.\u00a0<span style=\"color: #373737\">\u00a0BOD concentration was 6.2\u00a0mg\/l; BOD loading was 68\u00a0lbs; permit allows 10\u00a0mg\/l and 125\u00a0lbs.; SS concentration was 12.8\u00a0mg\/l; SS loading was 140\u00a0lbs.; permit allows 10 mg\/l and 125 lbs. \u00a0Due to the dry spring weather land application of treated wastewater began on April 17th. This is about two weeks earlier than the start date in our permit. No\u00a0sludge was processed, hauled or spread during the month. One of the clarifiers was drained for repairs to the sweep arms. The pumps at Marcy St.; Northside, Southside, Southeast, Southwest and Meinig Ave. lift stations ran a total of 389 hours with no significant problems. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>STREETS<\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>&#8211;\u00a0The street sweeping contractor spent 48\u00a0hours sweeping streets and collected more than 15\u00a0tons (24 cu. yds.) of debris, covering 151\u00a0lane miles.\u00a0PW staff installed the first of the wayfinding signs in April.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit\"><strong>PARKS \/ OTHER &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Parks staff began work on rehabilitating the turf in the east one-half of the Sandy Bluff dog park.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WATER\u00a0&#8211; A total of 27,240,000 gallons of water were delivered, 2,121,000 gallons from\u00a0Alder Creek treatment plant, 9,980,000\u00a0gallons from\u00a0Brownell Springs and 15,139,000\u00a0gallons purchased from City of Portland. 5.34\u00a0inches of rainfall were recorded at the treatment plant site during April.
