Maximum day\u00a0production\u00a0was 1.42 MG on January\u00a013th. 10.27 inches of rainfall were recorded at the treatment plant site during the month. <em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>WASTEWATER<\/strong><em><strong> \u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>A total of 79,980,000 gallons of sewage were treated and discharged to Tickle Creek. Minimum flow was 1.44 MGD on the 1st. Maximum flow was 5.24\u00a0MGD on the 7th. Rainfall was 1.0 inches on the 6th and 1.2\u00a0on the 7th. A total of 10.65 inches\u00a0of rainfall were\u00a0recorded during January.\u00a0\u00a0BOD concentration was 10.2 mg\/l; BOD loading was 216\u00a0lbs; permit allows 10\u00a0mg\/l and 125\u00a0lbs.; SS concentration was 15.3 mg\/l; SS loading was 336\u00a0lbs.; permit allows 10 mg\/l and 125 lbs. \u00a0Due to equipment failure and heavy rainfall in January\u00a0the wastewater plant exceeded permit limits.<em> \u00a0<\/em>The pumps at Marcy St.; Northside, Southside, Southeast, Southwest and Meinig Ave. lift stations ran a total of 923\u00a0hours with no significant problems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>STREETS<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>&amp;\u00a0STORM<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0The street sweeping contractor spent 63\u00a0hours sweeping streets and collected more than 20\u00a0tons (33 cu. yds.) of debris, covering 194\u00a0lane miles.\u00a0We applied liquid de-icer to all arterial and collector streets twice in January.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PARKS, BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS \u2013 <\/strong>\u00a0The contractor performing the invasive species removal in the Tickle Creek corridor sprayed all the invasives and began removing plants that had been sprayed in January.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WATER\u00a0\u2013 A total of 30,104,800\u00a0gallons of water were treated and delivered, 4,830,000 gallons from\u00a0Alder Creek treatment plant, 10,936,800\u00a0gallons from\u00a0Brownell Springs and 14,338,000\u00a0gallons purchased from City of Portland.
