Maximum day\u00a0production\u00a0was 1.36 MG on July 5th. 1.24\u00a0inches of rainfall were recorded at the treatment plant site during the month. The influent header on Filter #3 cracked and was removed for replacement. \u00a0We had several pump failures at Terra Fern Reservoir during July. Two new pumps have been ordered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WASTEWATER<\/strong><em><strong> \u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>A total of 26,950,000 gallons of sewage were treated and pumped\u00a0to Iseli Nursery for irrigation. Minimum flow was 0.7\u00a0MGD on the 3rd. Maximum flow was 1.07 MGD on the 9th. Rainfall was 0.15\u00a0inches on the 8th and 0.55 inches\u00a0on the 9th. A total of 1.22\u00a0inches\u00a0of rainfall were\u00a0recorded during July.\u00a0\u00a0BOD concentration was 13.2\u00a0mg\/l; BOD loading was 94\u00a0lbs; permit allows 10\u00a0mg\/l and 125\u00a0lbs.; SS concentration was 12.9 mg\/l; SS loading was 92\u00a0lbs.; permit allows 10 mg\/l and 125 lbs. \u00a0Permit limits do not apply when the water is used for irrigation, these figures are shown to demonstrate plant efficiency. 147 metric tons of sludge was procesed and 30 metric tons were hauled and spread on DEQ-approved pasture sites.<em>\u00a0<\/em>The pumps at Marcy St.; Northside, Southside, Southeast, Southwest and Meinig Ave. lift stations ran a total of 274\u00a0hours with no significant problems.\u00a0Our\u00a0contractor completed cleaning and video inspection of all 14,550 lineal feet of the sewer trunk line between University Ave. and the treatment plant during July. The trunk line was in remarkably good condition and no obvious signs of inflow or infiltration were revealed by the inspection. However an unusually large amount of big\u00a0rocks and debris\u00a0was found immediately upstream of the treatment plant (see photo).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/files\/2016\/08\/KIMG0717-768x1024.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>STREETS<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>&amp;\u00a0STORM<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0The street sweeping contractor spent 51\u00a0hours sweeping streets and collected more than 15\u00a0tons (26 cu. yds.) of debris, covering 165\u00a0lane miles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PARKS, BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS \u2013 <\/strong>\u00a0Parks, Buildings and Grounds staff were kept busy preparing for and cleaning up after the Mountain Festival.
