{"id":640,"date":"2022-08-15T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/?p=640"},"modified":"2022-08-12T14:29:06","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T14:29:06","slug":"public-works-july-monthly-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/2022\/08\/15\/public-works-july-monthly-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Works &#8211; JULY Monthly Report"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><u><mark style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2\" class=\"has-inline-color\">WATER:<\/mark><\/u><\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> &nbsp;had a Peak Day production of 1.552 MG on July 30<sup>th<\/sup>.<br><\/li><li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> &nbsp;water plant production net of backwash water used was 22.768 MG.<br><\/li><li><strong><em>Brownell Springs<\/em><\/strong> production was a total of 12.5 MG and Peak Day production was on July 14<sup>th<\/sup> with a total of 447,615 gallons.<br><\/li><li><strong><em>Portland Water Bureau<\/em><\/strong> &nbsp;source production was a total of 15,402,707 gallons with a Peak Day production of 500,736 on July 1<sup>st<\/sup>.<br><\/li><li>We recorded a total of .54 inches of rainfall at the water plant with peak rainfall on July 5<sup>th<\/sup> with a total of .46 inches.<br><\/li><li><strong><u>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp; Several communication &amp; callout issues occurred &amp; are under investigation.&nbsp; Working with industrial to solve the problem.&nbsp; Gate valve solenoid replaced.<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong><u><mark style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">WASTEWATER<\/mark><\/u><\/strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-light-gray-color\"><br><\/mark><\/em><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On July 15<sup>th<\/sup> the Peak day flow was 1.28 MG and there was 0 .00 inches of rainfall.&nbsp;<br><\/li><li>A total of 21.02 MG of sewage was treated in the month of July<br><\/li><li>Monthly rainfall recorded at the plant was 0.20 inches with a peak of 0.14 inches on the 6<sup>th<\/sup> of July.<br><\/li><li>443,700 gallons of sludge were dewatered, processed and landfilled during July.<br><\/li><li>Monthly Average Effluent BOD &amp; TSS (concentration) was RECYCLED in the month of July.<br><\/li><li><strong><u>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;<br>* July 1<sup>st<\/sup> \u2013 Replaced 4 UV Bulbs and 3 Ballast Replacements<br>* July 2<sup>nd<\/sup> \u2013 Tertiary Filters still down.&nbsp; Causing blinding of filter 2<br>* July 7<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Rented Irrigation Pump<br>* July 11<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Replaced and recycled Pump 1 breaker<br>* July 16<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Bearing draft shaft assembly failure (BFP)<br>* July 18<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 WAS Pump 1 was sent out for repair (triangle)<br><\/li><li><strong><u>PERMIT EXCEEDANCES OR EXCURSIONS:<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp; N\/A<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><mark style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong><u>STREETS:<\/u><\/strong> <\/mark><br>The City\u2019s street sweeping contractor removed 35 cubic yards of debris<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WATER: Alder Creek &nbsp;had a Peak Day production of 1.552 MG on July 30th.
