{"id":647,"date":"2022-09-12T19:28:26","date_gmt":"2022-09-12T19:28:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/?p=647"},"modified":"2022-09-12T19:28:26","modified_gmt":"2022-09-12T19:28:26","slug":"public-works-monthly-report-august-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/2022\/09\/12\/public-works-monthly-report-august-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"PUBLIC WORKS \u2013 Monthly Report \u2013 August 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u><mark style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2\" class=\"has-inline-color has-blue-color\">WATER:<\/mark><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> \u00a0had a Peak Day production of 1.365 MG on August 26<sup>th<\/sup>.<br><\/li><li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> \u00a0water plant production net of backwash water used was 29.440 MG.<br><\/li><li><strong><em>Brownell Springs<\/em><\/strong> production was a total of 9.4 MG and Peak Day production was on August 9<sup>th<\/sup> with a total of 426,180 gallons.<br><\/li><li><strong><em>Portland Water Bureau<\/em><\/strong> \u00a0source production was a total of 15,403,775 gallons with a Peak Day production of 501,009 on August 11<sup>th<\/sup>.<br><\/li><li>We recorded a total of .13 inches of rainfall at the water plant with peak rainfall on August 9<sup>th<\/sup> with a total of .05 inches.<br><\/li><li><strong><u>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 N\/A<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u><mark style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2\" class=\"has-inline-color has-blue-color\">WASTEWATER<\/mark><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On August 18<sup>th<\/sup> the Peak day flow was .79 MG and there was 0 .00 inches of rainfall.\u00a0<br><\/li><li>A total of 20.97 MG of sewage was treated in the month of August.<br><\/li><li>Monthly rainfall recorded at the plant was 0.00 inches in August.<br><\/li><li>565,060 gallons of sludge were dewatered, processed and landfilled during August.<br><\/li><li>Monthly Average Effluent BOD &amp; TSS (concentration) was RECYCLED in the month of August.<br><\/li><li><strong><u>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0<br>* August 2<sup>nd<\/sup>  \u00a0\u2013  Replace Bearing Draft Shaft Assembly (Belt Press).<br>* August 3<sup>rd<\/sup>    \u2013  Motor on Tertiary 1 replaced.<br>* August 6<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a0  \u2013  New HACH EFF Sampler installed.<br>* August 11<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a0\u2013  Tertiary 1 carpet replaced.<br>* August 12<sup>th <\/sup>\u00a0\u2013  Mechanical Seal Failure (Pista Grit)<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u2013  Headworks not connecting to generator w\/ power outage<br>* August 13<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a0\u2013  Blower 1 &amp; 2 (Aeration) Oil leaking\/\ufb01lling sight glass past \ufb01ll line and<br>                          dropping oi (Tech called) Blower 3 &#8211; continued power trip<br>* August 19<sup>th<\/sup>  \u2013  Agri-plas hauled 50 empty drums offsite<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u2013  New Mechanical Seal installed on Pista Grit<br>* August 22<sup>nd \u00a0<\/sup>\u2013  BFP feed pipe failure 08<br>* August 23<sup>rd<\/sup> \u00a0\u2013  BFP back online<br>* August 26<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a0\u2013  EFF Ultrasonic Level Sensor Failure<br><\/li><li><strong><u>PERMIT EXCEEDANCES OR EXCURSIONS:<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0 N\/A<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong><u><mark style=\"background-color:#e2e2e2\" class=\"has-inline-color has-blue-color\">STREETS:<\/mark><\/u><\/strong> The City\u2019s street sweeping contractor removed 18 cubic yards of debris in August.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WATER: Alder Creek \u00a0had a Peak Day production of 1.365 MG on August 26th.
