{"id":663,"date":"2022-11-10T18:48:28","date_gmt":"2022-11-10T18:48:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/?p=663"},"modified":"2022-11-10T18:48:28","modified_gmt":"2022-11-10T18:48:28","slug":"public-works-monthly-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/2022\/11\/10\/public-works-monthly-report\/","title":{"rendered":"PUBLIC WORKS \u2013 Monthly Report"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>OCTOBER 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u><mark style=\"background-color:#1982d1\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">WATER:<\/mark><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> had a Peak Day production of 1.537 MG on October 25, 2022.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> water plant production net of backwash water used was 18.532MG<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Brownell Springs<\/em><\/strong> production was a total of 4.09 MG and Peak Day production was on October 18<sup>th<\/sup> with a total of 137,595 gallons.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Portland Water Bureau<\/em><\/strong> source production was a total of 13,945,225 gallons with a Peak Day production of 620,320 gallons on October 6<sup>th<\/sup>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We recorded a total of 5.67 inches of rainfall at the water plant with peak rainfall on October 21<sup>st<\/sup> with a total of 1.28 inches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/strong><br>* CI-17 Failure (Terra Fern) Repaired colorimeter cell in CI-17<br>* Leaks increasing at Sandercock, new leak observed at the back of the reservoir.<br>* Pump 8 &amp; 9 pulled at Terra Fern and out for repair.<br>* Pump 11 motor burned out and needs replacement at Terra Fern<br>* Did not meet CT\u2019s Oct 21<sup>st<\/sup> and 22<sup>nd<\/sup><br>* Pressure release valve replaced at Hudson<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u><mark style=\"background-color:#1982d1\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">WASTEWATER<\/mark><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A total of 30.83 MG of sewage was treated in the month of September<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On October 31<sup>st<\/sup> the Peak day flow was 1.62 MG. 0.01 inches of rainfall was recorded the day before and 1.08 on October 31<sup>st<\/sup>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly rainfall recorded at the plant was 3.55 inches with a peak of 1.08 inches on the 31<sup>st<\/sup> of October.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>500,780 gallons of sludge were dewatered, processed and landfilled during September.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly Average Effluent BOD &amp; TSS \u2013 N\/A (Recycled)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/u><\/strong><br>* RAS motors replace (1&amp;2)<br>* Blower 1 pulled (10\/13)<br>* Bearing overheating on BFP (10\/13)<br>* Blower 1 leaking oil (10\/14)<br>* Launder pulled on Clarifier 1 (10\/20)<br>* TAG team working on PLC\/MCC replacement (10\/21)<br>* Pumps replaced in Cell 1 for decant water to solids.<br>* Blower 1 &amp; 3 repaired ad back online (10\/24)<br>* Diffusers\/Air restored to AB2 \u2013 Both AB\u2019s online (10\/24)<br>* Clarifier 1 back online (10\/31)<br><strong><u>* Blower 4 will need maintenance<\/u><\/strong><br><br><strong><u>NPDES Permit Exceedances or Excursions:<\/u><\/strong> N\/A<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#1982d1\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">FUN &amp;
