{"id":670,"date":"2022-12-12T08:01:48","date_gmt":"2022-12-12T08:01:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/?p=670"},"modified":"2022-12-12T08:01:48","modified_gmt":"2022-12-12T08:01:48","slug":"public-works-monthly-report-november-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/2022\/12\/12\/public-works-monthly-report-november-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"<strong>PUBLIC WORKS \u2013 Monthly Report \u2013 November 2022<\/strong>"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#1982d1\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">WATER:<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> had a Peak Day production of 0.910 MG on November 6, 2022.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> water plant production net of backwash water used was 19.141 MG<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Brownell Springs<\/em><\/strong> production was a total of 6.82 MG and Peak Day production was on November 7<sup>th<\/sup> with a total of 429,120 gallons.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Portland Water Bureau<\/em><\/strong> source production was a total of 1,199,198 gallons with a Peak Day production of 326,670 gallons on November 4<sup>th<\/sup>.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We recorded a total of 11.86 inches of rainfall at the water plant with peak rainfall on November 4<sup>th<\/sup> with a total of 2.95 inches<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/strong><br>* NO Power \/ Loss of Leg \u201cB\u201d \/ Generator Power \/ Raw Water Pump Malfunction \/ High<br>  Turbidity due to rain (11\/4\/22)<br>* NO Power \/ Loss of Leg \u201cC\u201d \/ Generator Power \/ High Turbidity due to rain (11\/5\/22)<br>* Return to PGE Power (11\/6\/22)<br>* Multiple Pump 7\/10 malfunctions at Terra Fern<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#1982d1\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">WASTEWATER:<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A total of 47.49 MG of sewage was treated in the month of November.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On November 30<sup>th<\/sup> the Peak day flow was 3.67 MG.<br>* 1.02 inches of rainfall was recorded the day before and 0.53 on December 1st.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monthly rainfall recorded at the plant was 8.45 inches with a peak of 1.8 inches on the 5<sup>th<\/sup> of November.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>624,830 gallons of sludge were dewatered, processed and landfilled during November.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly Average Effluent- BOD: 7.38 &amp; TSS: 10.25<br><br><strong>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/strong><br>* Low Flows through Clarifier 1 (entire month)<br>* Sludge Blower 1 inoperative (November 2, 2022)<br>* Moyno repair \/ replacement.\u00a0Need additional repair to be fully operational <br>  (November 3,2022)<br>* Bottleneck to Clarifier 1 (November 7, 2022)<br>* Line Vac by the city for Clarifier 1 (November 10, 2022)<br>* RAS in manual \u2013 Not connected to Scada.\u00a0 WAS Scada Target Gallons to Waste Totals <br>   reflecting far less than is being pumped (November 16, 2022)<br>* RAS 1 pulled \u2013 Bolt stuck in propeller (November 17, 2022)<br>* UV Fail \u2013 Bulb for Module 1B14, 1B13, 1B12, 1B24, 1B23, 1B22, 1B31 replaced.<br>   &#8211; All wipers replaced for side 1B.<br>   &#8211; Hydraulic cylinder replaced for 1B12<br>   &#8211; Coolant pump repaired &#8211; second pump installed \u2013 Needs an overload switch<br>   &#8211; Ecoli Exceedance due to UV failure (November 17, 2022)<br>* Disk Filter bypass due to heavy rains (1.55\u201d in 24 hours &amp;
