{"id":674,"date":"2023-01-12T15:27:30","date_gmt":"2023-01-12T15:27:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/?p=674"},"modified":"2023-01-12T15:27:30","modified_gmt":"2023-01-12T15:27:30","slug":"public-works-monthly-reports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reports.cityofsandy.com\/publicworks\/2023\/01\/12\/public-works-monthly-reports\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Works Monthly Reports"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\">December 2022<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-midnight-gradient-background has-background wp-element-button\"><strong>WATER<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> had a Peak Day production of 1.086 MG on December 23, 2022.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Alder Creek<\/em><\/strong> water plant production net of backwash water used was 19.418 MG<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Brownell Springs<\/em><\/strong> production was a total of 6.30 MG and Peak Day production was on December 17<sup>th<\/sup> with a total of 208,740 gallons.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><em>Portland Water Bureau<\/em><\/strong> source production was a total of 3,639,668 gallons with a Peak Day production of 506,083 gallons on December 20, 2022.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We recorded a total of 10.38 inches of rainfall at the water plant with peak rainfall on December 26<sup>th<\/sup> with a total of 1.21 inches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/strong><br>* High Turbidity Events &#8211;<br>&nbsp;12\/01 &#8211; Rains (1.45 &amp; 0.85)<br>&nbsp;12\/20 &#8211; Rains (0.96)<br>&nbsp;12\/26 &#8211; Rains (1.21)<br>&nbsp;12\/27 &#8211; Rains (1.13)<br>*Filter 1 &amp; 2 rewiring first week of December.<br>* December 22<sup>nd<\/sup> &amp; 23<sup>rd<\/sup> (Freezing Rain \u2013 Event Power Outage)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-luminous-dusk-gradient-background has-background wp-element-button\"><strong>WASTEWATER<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A total of 60.43 MG of sewage was treated in the month of December<br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On December 27<sup>th<\/sup> the Peak day flow was 3.55 MG.<br>0.16 inches of rainfall was recorded the day before and 1.21 inches the day of.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monthly rainfall recorded at the plant was 8.30 inches with a peak of 1.35 inches on Christmas Day (December 25<sup>th<\/sup>)<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>768,140 gallons of sludge were dewatered, processed and landfilled during November.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly Average Effluent- BOD: 3.38 &amp; TSS: 3.88<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>EQUIPMENT ISSUES:<\/u><\/strong><br>1. &nbsp;&nbsp;RAS 1 Down, nut jammed in impeller and damaged coupling<em> (December 11<sup>th<\/sup>)<\/em><br>2. &nbsp;&nbsp;PLC rewired at WWTP <em>(Week of December 12<sup>th<\/sup>)<\/em><br>3. &nbsp;&nbsp;New Caustic pump added at headworks <em>(December 15<sup>th<\/sup>)<\/em><br>4.&nbsp; &nbsp;WAS 2 communication issues. 15 Strokes <em>(December 19<sup>th<\/sup>)<\/em><br>5.&nbsp; &nbsp;UV\/Bank 1A not turning on in Auto. Waste pump 1 malfunctioning through PLC\u2026turning on and off rapidly <em>(December 20<sup>th<\/sup>)<\/em><br>6.&nbsp; &nbsp;Cell 1 diffuser replacement for ASSAB <em>(December 21<sup>st<\/sup>)<\/em><br>7.&nbsp; &nbsp;Ice Storm, Clarifier 1 tripped and Clarifier 2 caught up on scum beach <em>(December 22<sup>nd<\/sup>)<br><\/em>8.&nbsp; &nbsp;Pipe break in solids building <em>(December 26<sup>th<\/sup>)<\/em><br>9.&nbsp; &nbsp;Heavy Rains \/ High Winds &amp; Power Outages cause multiple disruptions, Clarifier 1 EMC <em>(December 27<sup>th<\/sup>)<\/em><br>10. Pipe break fixed <em>(December 28<sup>th<\/sup>)<\/em><br>11.
