City Manager’s Report – December 2017

We have been working on a grant for the Sandy Community Campus with the Ford Family Foundation. We will continue to look for other sources of funding.

In addition to some of the funding questions, we continue our work with the Oregon Trail School District on the “handover process”. They continue to be a great partner to work with and I am sure the process will be as smooth as possible.

Work continues our our Debris Management Plan. Yes we have one of those. We need to consider what and how to manage the large amounts of the debris often associated with disasters such as fires, earthquakes and other emergencies.

I attended a paint night at the Sandy Library to see first hand what the programs at the library were like from a user perspective. It was an outstanding experience and I continue to be impressed with staff.

I spent a good deal of this month working on a uniformed approach to boards, committees and advisory groups. We will bring a suggested approach to council soon for a workshop.

Happy Holidays!
