Fiber to the Home

Construction of the fiber distribution network is nearly complete. There are a few small bores that still need to be performed but overall the bulk of the conduit has been placed. Cable placement is significantly completed as well. The majority of the remaining work is placing drops to the homes, splicing, and landscape and concrete/asphalt restoration. These items will still take several months to complete and should provide steady work for the contractors well into the spring of 2015.

The image below shows the progress of the various areas of the city. The southern route is nearly complete and we are actively installing customers. As of 11/17 we have 149 active fiber customers.

The North and East route are complete and awaiting splicing aside from a few small areas that still need cable extensions or adjustments.

The western route is the most recently constructed area. Cable is placed throughout most of the route and everything is being tied up for splicing make ready.
