Sandy got our Patron Self-Checkout machines installed! For the Month of August:
75.93% (or 3340 items) at Hoodland were checked out using self-checkout
78.32% (or 11,030 items) at Sandy were checked out using self-checkout
This is up from about 40% of items being checked out with self-checkout.
Art Exhibits
Clackamas County Arts Alliance changed out their art exhibit in Sandy to a group show Damascus Fiber Arts School. This show will be up for the next 2 months.
Our locally curated art exhibit in Sandy changed to Sue Allen’s Around Mount Hood: 12 months – 12 directions. This show will be up until October 5th.
Clackamas County Arts Alliance art at the Hoodland Library is currently photography by Laurence Cutler of Estacada. This Exhibit will be up through October 10th.
The Mt Hood Piecemakers’ Club have installed a beautiful new quilt in Hoodland titled Magic by Ellen Hemmert.
Meetings
Library Advisory Board
Met on August 2nd. Discussed reduction in the number of Library Advisory Board Members (brought to City Council), initial results from the Strategic Plan- how to format them, and what information to discuss quarterly with the Board.
Sarah McIntyre attended Congressman Blumenauer’s visit to City Hall to talk with staff and electeds.
Chris Wilhelmi and Sarah McIntyre attended training with the City Attorney regarding RFPs, RFQs, and bids.
Library District Advisory Committee
The group at large got a report from the data subcommittee who was tasked with coming up with a better reporting form to LDAC and the County Commissioners. The Chair requested feedback on what topics were most relevant to discuss at upcoming meetings.
