Tree Lighting Event – We had about 200 people drive thru on the evening of the tree lighting. 74 people viewed the livestream, we had 30 comments, and 81 people viewed it after the event on our City YouTube channel. The City Council Holiday message that was part of the livestream video – we posted separately after the event on Facebook. 28 Total Reactions, 8 Total Comments, 39 Post Engagements, 621 10+ Second Video Views.
A huge thank you to Knapp Tree Farms for their donation of the tree, City of Sandy Public Works department for hauling and setting up the tree, Mayor Pulliam for the countdown, and local resident DJ Anderson for being the event MC. This was a coordinated effort with the Transit Department (Thanks for bringing the trolleys!), Community Services, and Library staff. Thanks to all staff who gave advice and worked at the event.
Our Craft for a Cause was a huge sucess! We asked community members to make Holiday cards for Meals on Wheels clients and seniors living in Avamere Sandy and Avamere Cascadia. We needed about 450 cards, and received over 650! The additional cards went to energy assistance clients, and Christmas basket recipients through the Community Center.
Hat, scarf, and mitten trees – Sandy community members gave new hats, scarfs and mittens for organizers of the Sandy Community Dinner to hand out to attendees, and Hoodland community members gave to the food pantry. Sandy Library gathered 77 items, Hoodland Library gathered 40 items.
Computers by Appointment at Sandy we had 68 people schedule appointments and use the computers. Our new capacity is 21 appointments/week. At Hoodland we had 17 people schedule appointments to use the computers. Capacity at Hoodland is 12 appointments/week. People need to call to make an appointment.

Mobile Printing People are definitely catching on to our mobile printing services. Send prints from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Once the print job is sent, it will sit in a que waiting to be released to print. Call the library to have staff release the print job in the que to print. Pick up your prints through our Curbside Service. Prints must be picked up the same day the print job is sent. For a limited time, printing is free of charge.

Curbside pickup of holds Pickup at Sandy is 10am-4pm Monday-Saturday and 12-4pm on Sunday. At Hoodland 10am-12pm Monday and 12-2pm Tuesday-Friday.
Sandy – 1635 pickups in 29 days. This averages 56 pickups/day(same as 56 last month).
Hoodland – 384 pickups in 25 days. Averages 15 pickups/day(up from 14 last month).
We checked out a total of 6772 items(up from last month’s 6659) through curbside pickup!
