The Library is open!

Beginning Monday, March 1st, Sandy and Hoodland Libraries began limited browsing hours.
We have had between 20-50 people per day at Sandy, and Hoodland had 56 appointments (maximum 48/week)

Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 2:00 -4:00 pm

Sandy Seed Library
Come to the west side entrance during the seed library open hours. You will need your library card to take the seeds home!  There is no due date on seeds, but we encourage you to learn how to save seeds for yourself and to donate back to the seed library.

Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 am-12:00 pm and 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Tuesday & Thursday: 10:00 am – 12 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Computers by Appointment at Sandy we had 104 people schedule appointments to use the computers (down from 124 last month).  Our capacity in April was 63 appointments/week. At Hoodland we had 45 people schedule appointments to use the computers (up from 32 last month).  Capacity at Hoodland was 24 appointments/week. People need to call to make an appointment.

Mobile Printing People are utilizing our mobile printing services.  Send prints from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.  Once the print job is sent, it will sit in a queue waiting to be released to print.  Call the library on the same day to have staff release the print job. Pick up your prints through our Curbside Service.  For a limited time, printing is free of charge.
Sandy – 26 users printed 137 jobs (347 pages)
Hoodland – 12 users printed 27 jobs (197 pages)

eCards – Sandy created 43 new library accounts, Hoodland created 8 new accounts.

Curbside pickup of holds Pickup at Sandy is 10am-4pm Monday-Saturday and 12-4pm on Sunday.  At Hoodland 10am-12pm Monday and 12-2pm Tuesday-Friday. 

Sandy – 1306 pickups in 29 days.  This averages 45 pickups/day(up from 44 last month).  4040 items
Hoodland – 375 pickups in 26 days.  Averages 14 pickups/day(same as last month).  1212 items

Browsing checkouts in the buildings!  Browsing at Sandy and Hoodland is 2 hours/day
Sandy – 578 sessions. This averages 20 sessions/day (same as last month). 3444 items
Hoodland – 44 sessions.  This averages 2 sessions/day (same as last month). 298 items

We checked out a total of 8994 items(down from last month’s 10,092) through curbside pickup and browsing.

SOLVE- Rebecca Hanset led a team of 7 teens in cleaning up the area behind the Sandy Community Campus and Meinig Park

Special

Take and Make – No Sew T-shirt Bag – 40 adults (Sandy and Hoodland)

Blood Drive – in partnership with the American Red Cross.  38 people were in the Community Room over the course of the day.  The Red Cross collected more than 30 pints of blood.

DIY Green Cleaners – in partnership with Clackamas County Sustainability and Solid Waste.  9 people attended this virtual program.
