The Library is fully open!
Beginning June 30th, Sandy Library moved our computers back into the main part of the library. People no longer need to make an appointment to use a computer at Sandy or Hoodland.
Starting July 7th Sandy and Hoodland will be open for our new full hours! All services (other than programming) will be available all of our open hours – including our newest service: Curbside.
Here are our new hours:
Sandy Library
Monday – Tuesday 10 am – 7 pm
Wednesday – Friday 10 am – 6 pm
Saturday – Sunday 12 – 5 pm
Hoodland Library
Monday 10 am – 4 pm
Tuesday 1 – 7 pm
Wednesday – Friday 12 – 6 pm
Saturday 12 – 5 pm
Reading Colors Your World – Summer Reading 2021
Summer Reading starts June 1st!
We have programs for:
Kids 0-5 years – raffle prize is a scooter
K-5th grade – raffle prize is a Nintendo Switch
6th-12th grade – raffle prize is a Nintendo Switch
Adults 18+ years – raffle prize is $100 cash
Visit Sandy.beanstack.org to sign up! or pick up a paper reading log at the library. Finish and return your log (and pick up your prizes!) by August 31, 2021 to be entered in the prize drawings.
Computers by Appointment at Sandy we had 150 people schedule appointments to use the computers (up from 143 last month). Our capacity was 63 appointments/week. At Hoodland we had 36 people schedule appointments to use the computers (down from 37 last month). Capacity at Hoodland was 24 appointments/week.
Mobile Printing Send prints from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Once the print job is sent, it will sit in a queue waiting to be released to print. Call the library on the same day to have staff release the print job. Pick up your prints in person or through our Curbside Service. Starting July 15th, printing is no longer free of charge.

Sandy -21 users printed 63 jobs (207 pages)
Hoodland – 14 users printed 42 jobs (582 pages)
eCards – Sandy created 23 (64 new library accounts in person), Hoodland created 1 (13 in person).

Sandy – 935 pickups in 30 days. This averages 31 pickups/day(down from 40 last month). 3028 items
Hoodland – 324 pickups in 26 days. Averages 12 pickups/day(down from 13 last month). 1146 items
Browsing checkouts in the buildings!
Sandy – 1156 sessions. This averages 39 sessions/day (up from 21 last month). 5893 items
Hoodland – 154 sessions. This averages 6 sessions/day (up from 2 last month). 737 items
We checked out a total of 10,804 items(up from last month’s 8,772) through curbside pickup and browsing.
