Vista Apartments – 49 kids participated in literacy activities in three weeks (4th week was a show day!) Special Guest Speaker Ana Martinez spoke about going to college.
Saturday Afternoon Kids’ Club – Sandy 40 kids and parents, Hoodland 10. Hodland held a special Family Art Club to make Valentine’s Day cards. Photos of one kid’s card to the left.

Teen Lock-In with Antfarm – 100 teens, 6 adult volunteers
Oregon Youth Council Summit – 2 teens attended with staff member Rebecca Robinowitz to learn about starting a Youth City Council

Soup Night – 22 people came to share our homemade soup (thanks to the Community Center for allowing staff who got their Food Handler’s Card to use their facilities!) and listen to Maggie Stuckey the author of Soup Night talk.
Art Supply Swap – 21 people came to swap art supplies with members of the community.
Travel Talk Japan – 20 people came to listen to Susan and Paul Winsinger talk about their travels to Japan.
Ongoing
Coffee House – 123 people came to listen to and support members in the community at an Open Mic Night! Chariteas did tea tasting in the lobby.
Book Clubs – Men’s 9 people, Women’s 10, Hoodland – snowed out!
ESOL Tutoring – 47 learners met with 37 tutors in 31 tutoring sessions!
Promotions
As of February 1st, the Sandy and Hoodland Libraries are selling transit tokens and passes!
Art Exhibits
Hoodland – A new quilt titled Bugs, Bugs by Ellen Hemmert of the Piecemakers.
Sandy – Quilt made by Susan Burdell, a member of the Quilting and Fiber Arts Club which meets at the Sandy Historical Society Museum.
Sandy – Clackamas County Arts Alliance Exhibit is currently the Wy’East Artisans Guild’s All Creatures Great and Small. Come see this exhibit through July 3rd.
