Library Activities: June 2024

Read, Renew, Repeat – Summer Reading June 1 – August 31
Come into the Library to pick up a paper reading log, or join us on Beanstack.com to track your time. Everyone who completes gets a voucher for $5 of their library fines, kids and teens pick out a book to keep, and get entered to win either a Whippersnappers or Oaks park gift card. Adults are entered to win $100 cash, and writing a book review enter them to win $5 gift cards to local coffee and shopping venues.

Longest Day Parkway
The Library counted 309 people at this event coordinated by Parks and Recreation.  We used the Summer Reading theme Read, Renew, Repeat, as our booth theme.  Kids picked trash items out of a mini swimming pool, and we had a Find the Pearl shell game. We had a special doggie visitor at the end of the program who had a really great time!

Chris Wilhelmi retires after 25 years. We are sad to see her go, but so happy to she that she is on to new adventures!

Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS)
ODHS is in the Library. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm for drop-in assistance.
