Thanks to our generous community members for donating enough supplies for 60 kids in Sandy and 183 items in Hoodland.

This month we talked to 123 (136 last month) people at the Mt Hood Farmers Market and 99 (67 last month) people at the Hoodland Farmers Market. We collected a total of $187 (last month $167) to help us upfit the Mobile Library.

Bingo Event at Mt Pizza and Brews – Oct 24th 6-9pm
Books, bingo, and brews! Come on down to Mt. Pizza and Brews for a FUNdraising night of community! The Sandy Public Library will be hosting a bingo night and silent auction to raise money for the new mobile library! In addition, 20% of sales at Mt. Pizza will be donated to help outfit the vehicle and get it ready to get on the road! Every bite brings us closer to books on the go!

Hoodland Library’s 10th Anniversary celebration! – Hoodland Library has been in its current building for 10 years. Over 2 days we gave out 131 mini cupcakes and cookies!
Ongoing
Mobile Stabilization and Outreach Unit – 14 clients and 7 service providers attended. This unit is coordinated by Parole and Probation Officer, Amanda Denis from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office with the help of community partners: Love One, 4D, Central City Concern, Parrott Creek, Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO), ODHS and Clackamas Behavioral Health.
American Red Cross Blood Drive – 56 people attended. 48 donors and 8 staff/volunteers attended.
Creation Station – Creation Station is a twice monthly interactive program that welcomes adults with disabilities. 26 attended the 2nd Monday and 20 attended on the 4th Monday.













ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages tutoring – 7 one hour sessions (1 tutor and 1 student each)
Writing Group – 24 people attended our writing group
Fiber Arts Circle – 57 people attended in the Fireplace Room on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons
Edible Gardening Group – 16 people attended to tour Farm Dog Farming Company.
Book-a-Librarian – 5 people learned about iPhone storage, Google photos settings, how to save to a thumb drive, updating their computer and MS Word, selling online (FB Marketplace, etc), deleting malware, taking a screenshot, their iPad and iPhone.
