1) APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED/UNDER REVIEW
a) File No. 14-030 AP – The Planning Commission reviewed an appeal of a Director’s decision regarding approval of design review for Johnson RV. The commission approved the application with conditions.
b) File No. 14-028 ZC – The Planning Commission will review a request by Michael Maiden to change the zoning for his property from I-2 to I-1 on March 23.
c) File No. 15-008 SUB/VAR – The commission will review a request for a six lot subdivision located at the corner of Meinig Ave. and Hood St.
2) BUILDING DIVISION ACTIVITY
a) Total value for the month was $4,184,758.
b) 19 permits for single family dwellings with a value of $3,994,958.
c) 3 permits for additions to single-family dwellings with a value of $137,200.
d) 0 duplexes.
e) 5 commercial permits with a value of $52,600.
FROM TERRE GIFT, BUILDING OFFICIAL – February construction and remodel projects have continued at a good up in pace and number due to great weather and steady sales. Hayden Homes has 16 new homes in various phases of construction, and 6 more plans in review. Ed Wagoner 5 townhouses in progress. Jerry Gravell Construction is nearing completion of 4 new townhouses, and has completed the retaining wall for the next four townhouses. Jim Raze Construction and Kevin Cachatt each have one home in one progress. Stonecreek Development have 5 homes in progress and another in review. And Villa Vista Homes at Snowberry Subdivision have 18 homes under construction with 8 more in plan review.
Commercial activities were somewhat less, but as varied and diverse as ever. The new owners of the Magic Bean Bistro have obtained their business license. The underground plumbing work for the new laundry mat is slowly making progress at the old Sandy Vacuum location. The Trout Pub has reopened its doors under a new owner, and after extensive cleaning and several improvements, they are now offering gluten free menu bread and other options. Buddha Kat Winery is expanding its wine and menu and will be adding a grease interceptor. And the Ant Farm has continued to progress with improvements to both of their buildings. The Ant Farm has also expanded their menu to include more gluten free items.
3) URBAN RENEWAL – A facade grant for the building across Pioneer Blvd. from the Arco fueling station was issued.
