Code Enforcement Report:

  • 16 Citations were issued in February.
    • 13 citations were issued to the property owners at 362nd Avenue and Highway 26 for continuing to maintain attractive nuisances and accumulated junk on the property. However, they are currently in the process of cleaning up the nuisance so the issuance of additional citations has been paused.
    • 3 citations were issued to businesses who failed to renew their business licenses. All three businesses have since renewed their licenses.
  • Six street tree replacement cases have been completed with the planting of new street trees.
  • A house on Oak Street was deemed a ‘dangerous building’ by the Building Official due to a lack of water and sewer services. The tenants squatting at the house were trespassed from the property by the Sandy Police Department. The property owner has since restored the utility services to the property and the house is no longer posted as dangerous.
