WATER – A total of 31,747,300 gallons of water were produced, 18,809,000 at Alder Creek Treatment Plant and 12,938,300 at Brownell Springs. Peak day water production was 1.34 MG on June 21^st. A total of 7.46 inches of rainfall were recorded at the treatment plant site during the June. City crews replaced water service lines on streets planned for paving this summer. Design work continued on the Portland Water Bureau Intertie Project. City and consultant staff met with Clackamas County to refine the pipeline alignment and discuss road restoration requirements outside the city limits.

SEWER – A total of 32,460,000 gallons of wastewater were treated and reused for irrigation purposes. Minimum flow was 0.75 MGD on the 1^st. Maximum day flow was 1.69 MGD on the 8^th, (rainfall was .55 inches on the 7^th). A total of 4.9 inches of rainfall was recorded at the treatment plant site during the month. BOD concentration was 5.9 mg/l; BOD loading was 56 lbs.; permit allows 10 mg/l and 83 lbs.; SS concentration was 5.3 mg/l; SS loading was 84 lbs.; permit allows 10 mg/l and 83 lbs. Permit limits do not apply when the effluent is used for irrigation purposes, BOD and SS levels are shown to demonstrate treatment efficiency.  140,870 pounds of sludge were processed and stored for land application once the application sites dry out. PW staff constructed a truck loading ramp at the WWTP site to make it easier to load sludge in the spreader truck. The pumps at Marcy St.; Northside, Southeast and Meinig Ave. lift stations ran a total of 392 hours. There was a problem with the standby generator transfer switch at Meinig Ave. pump station that we weren’t able to duplicate when the service contractor looked at it.

STREETS – The street sweeping contractor spent 36 hours sweeping streets and collected 4 tons (9 cu. yds.) of debris, covering 131 lane miles. 9 tons of asphalt were used to patch potholes and utility cuts. Weeds and overhanging vegetation in the right-of-way of unimproved City streets were mowed.

PARKS / OTHER – Field grass in public open space and other City properties was mowed. The summer seasonal position was filled and work began on cutting weeds in the right-of-way of unimproved streets and stormwater detention facilities. Parks staff spread bark mulch on the landscape beds in the Meinig Park parking lot and over-seeded the grass areas.
