Public Works – JULY Monthly Report

WATER:

  • Alder Creek  had a Peak Day production of 1.552 MG on July 30th.
  • Alder Creek  water plant production net of backwash water used was 22.768 MG.
  • Brownell Springs production was a total of 12.5 MG and Peak Day production was on July 14th with a total of 447,615 gallons.
  • Portland Water Bureau  source production was a total of 15,402,707 gallons with a Peak Day production of 500,736 on July 1st.
  • We recorded a total of .54 inches of rainfall at the water plant with peak rainfall on July 5th with a total of .46 inches.
  • EQUIPMENT ISSUES:  Several communication & callout issues occurred & are under investigation.  Working with industrial to solve the problem.  Gate valve solenoid replaced.

WASTEWATER

  • On July 15th the Peak day flow was 1.28 MG and there was 0 .00 inches of rainfall. 
  • A total of 21.02 MG of sewage was treated in the month of July
  • Monthly rainfall recorded at the plant was 0.20 inches with a peak of 0.14 inches on the 6th of July.
  • 443,700 gallons of sludge were dewatered, processed and landfilled during July.
  • Monthly Average Effluent BOD & TSS (concentration) was RECYCLED in the month of July.
  • EQUIPMENT ISSUES: 
    * July 1st – Replaced 4 UV Bulbs and 3 Ballast Replacements
    * July 2nd – Tertiary Filters still down.  Causing blinding of filter 2
    * July 7th – Rented Irrigation Pump
    * July 11th – Replaced and recycled Pump 1 breaker
    * July 16th – Bearing draft shaft assembly failure (BFP)
    * July 18th – WAS Pump 1 was sent out for repair (triangle)

STREETS:
The City’s street sweeping contractor removed 35 cubic yards of debris
