For the month of June this is what happened in Human Resources:

The Finance Director resigned. Recruitment process has started.

PW recruited for the utility worker I position that was vacated due to a internal promotion.

Parks and Recreation opened two positions for Building Monitors as employees currently in those positions are headed to college.

Worked with Police and outside partners to put together a incident support class.

Conditional job offer was made for Police Officer who is now headed into background.

Benefit survey was sent to employees to gather feedback on benefit topics.

For the month of May this is what happened in Human Resources:

PW’s new uitlity worker started this month along with their seasonal employee.

Parks seasonal employee started this month.

Had a Mediation meeting with the Police Union happened.

Police had panel interviews for the current opening and four candidates moved forward to the the command interviews for the staff the first week of June.

PW hired an internal candidate to fill their current opening for Water Supervisor. Carter Schlosser accepted the position. This is now open a utility worker I that will be posted soon.

For the month of April this is what happened in Human Resources:

Parks posted, interviewed and extended an offer for their Seasonal Position. The employee starts in May.

Public Works interviewed and selected their new Utility worker who will start in May.

Participated in Mediation with the Police Union but are still in process for a settled contract.

Posted for Police Officer Opening and interviews are scheduled for the end of May.

PW had a current opening for Water Supervisor and posted the open position the end of April.

The new Senior Accountant started in Finance.

For month of March this is what happened in Human Resources:

The Senior Accountant interviews took place and an offer should be made by the middle of March.

Three new shelver’s started as employees this month for the library.

Public Works will have an opening for a Utility Worker I.

We are still currently in negotiations with the Police Union

For month of February, this is what happened in Human Resources:

Library had three new on-call shelver employees start. The library is currently now fully staffed.

The Police Department had one resignation and will plan to recruit within the next month or so.

I am currently working on a City Wide Training program to launch in 3rd and 4th quarter.

The City has started a “Run Hide Fight – Active Shooter Training” utilizing our Police Department and using CIS Learning modules.

The Senior Accountant position went live and interviews will take place the first week in March.

We are still currently in negotiations with the Police Union.

For month of January, this is what happened in Human Resources:

Library recruited for on-call shelvers and interviews will take place in February. The library also had a new part time library assistant start at the beginning of the month.

The new CSO started for Police the first of January.

The City Manager review process took place and will conclude next month.

We are still currently in negotiations with the Police Union.

For month of December, this is what happened in Human Resources:

The CSO Logan Stamm passed background and will start on January 5th.

Jamie Cuniff started a new recruit police officer on December 24th.

Had a very successful Holiday Luncheon with more than 70 employees attending.

Union negotiations occurred on December 16th.

For month of November, this is what happened in Human Resources:

A fourth recruitment was conducted for CSO position and an applicant is currently in the background with the hopes that a formal offer can be extended in December and a start date determined shortly thereafter.

Austin Carter started as a Lateral Police Officers on 11/24. He comes to us from Oregon City.

A conditional offer has been extended and excepted for a Recruit Police Officer (this is filling a vacancy of a Police Officer resignation, whose last day is 12/31/25.) Background has been initiated.

Carter Schlosser started on 11/18 as our new Public Works Utility Operator I

The library filled a position for a Library Assistant due the retirement of Lara Wilent.

Union Negotiations are still underway.

For month of October, this is what happened in Human Resources:

The Community Service Officer 2nd conditional offer did not pass background. The position was reposted and will close on 10/31 and the review of applications will happen the first week in November.

Since Jason Coates was promoted to Sgt. that opened a Police Officer opening. A conditional offer was made to a candidate on the eligibility list and his background has been started.

The updated Personnel Polices was sent to all employees via DocuSign to get their acknowledgement signature of receiving their copy of the updated Policies.

Interviews were conducted for the Parks and Recreation Director position and more details will follow.

Public Works interviewed and extended an offer for the Utility Operator I that was accepted. That new employee starts on 11/18

Union Negotiations are still underway.

The date for the Employee Holiday Appreciation Luncheon will be Thursday, December 11th.

For month of September, this is what happened in Human Resources:

The Community Service Officer conditional offer fell through as they did not pass background. The next candidate on the eligibility list has been offered a conditional offer has been extended, accepted and is starting background.

Karissa Gratreak started on 9/24 as our new Police Records Specialist.

Jamil Kassab started on 9/15/2025 as a Lateral Police Officer.

Jason Coates has been promoted from Police Officer to Sergeant and started his duties on 9/24.

Open Enrollment started September 30th and closes October 24th.

Narrowing down the candidates for Parks and Recreation Director

Public Works is recruiting for a Utility Officer as an employee from their department has transferred to the new Facilities Maintenance Worker position in Parks and Rec.
