Ridership

Ridership had an overall increase of 23.69% in May, compared to May of 2022. SAM-Gresham provided 6,095 rides, a 24.11% increase over last year. SAM-Estacada decreased by 20.65% compared to May 2022.This may be due to a student population that rode and have since graduated. The Shopper Shuttle provided 602 rides, an increase of 83.54%.

SAM rides provided 775 rides, an increase of 23.21% compared to May of 2022. ED transported 72 passengers to medical appointments, an increase of 89.47%.

Routes

Help us spread the exciting news!! Beginning in late June/early July the trolley will run a fareless shuttle to the Farmers Market every Friday! There will also be a shuttle for the Sandy Mountain Festival! SAM and MHX will both be fareless the weekend of the festival. Routes and times for both shuttles will be posted shortly.

February 2023 overall ridership totaled 6,214 passengers, a 8.75% increase from February 2022. This is in spite of staff shortages and severe weather conditions that resulted in limited or canceled service. SAM-Gresham provided 4,681 rides, an increase of 8.36%. SAM-Estacada experienced a decrease of 7.13%, which can be attributed to the weather. The Shopper Shuttle ridership increased by 11.36% with 441 riders.

SAM rides provided 638 rides in February, an increase of 22.46% compared to February 2022. ED provided 50 medical rides, an increase of 19.05%.

Through CARES Act funding, we have received another transit van. This van was designed to be a sweeper vehicle and will serve as a backup for other vehicles as needed.
