Monthly Report – October 2015

Fiber to the Home

All construction activity is complete for the project. Final invoices have been submitted and are in processing. Service activations currently sit at just under 1700 active customers which means we have captured approximately 86% of the homes who pre-ordered the fiber service. We are continuing to reach out to the remaining 14% that have yet to be activated. Additionally we are receiving new orders at a rate that is proving to be difficult to keep up with from a drop construction perspective. We currently have about a 3 month wait for service provisioning if there is not an existing fiber drop at the premise.

Project Category % Complete
Conduit Installation 100%
Cable Placement 100%
Splicing 100%
Drop Installation 100%
Service Activation 86%

MDU Buildings

We are exploring some new technologies that may make deploying apartment complexes a lot simpler and much more cost effective while still allowing us to provision 100 Mbps and Gigabit data services. As this area develops we will keep council in the loop.

Urban Renewal District

Construction is underway on the distribution network portion of the urban renewal district for fiber services. Crews are currently working on getting fiber installed to all existing vaults in the urban renewal district which will enable us to move on to the next phase of the project, connecting the drops from the vaults up to the business.
