Monthly Report – September 2016

Fiber Network

Demand for residential FTTH connections continues at a steady rate. We are working diligently to keep up with demand but have encountered some health related issues recently with some of the team that will impact productivity over the next several months.

In new neighborhood developments fiber infrastructure is being installed. We have provisioned service in new neighborhoods like American Street and Sunflower. Snowberry is almost completely built out with homes and we have been adding services there steadily. We also constructed infrastructure in the Champion Village neighborhood (by the movie theater) to ensure we have service available when homes are ready for occupancy there.

A network extension on Kelso Rd was completed this month in conjunction with a water line extension. The SandyNet team did a great job of placing cable and splicing the entire route, all work has been done in house.

Urban Renewal District

Engineering is complete for this project. We are working on getting permit applications prepared as well as drafting an RFP for construction. I hope to have the RFP published by the end of the October. Depending on timelines and responses from contractors we will start construction this fall.
