Monthly Report April 2018 – Public Works Department

WATER – A total of 32,552,800 gallons of water were treated and delivered during the month. 8,332,000 gallons from Alder Creek treatment plant, 9,500,000 gallons from Brownell Springs and 14,720,000 gallons purchased from City of Portland. Maximum day production was 1.2 MG on April 3rd.  7.47 inches of rainfall were recorded at the water treatment plant site during April.

WASTEWATER – A total of 40,150,000 gallons of sewage were treated and discharged to Tickle Creek. Minimum flow was 0.75 MGD on the 25th. Maximum flow was 3.19 MGD on the 8th. BOD concentration was 9.0 mg/l; BOD loading was 95 lbs; permit allows 10 mg/l and 125 lbs.; SS concentration was 14.0 mg/l; SS loading was 124 lbs.; permit allows 10 mg/l and 125 lbs.

STREETS & STORM –  PW staff placed over 40 tons of asphalt repairing potholes, utility cuts, paver seams and drainage issues. We rented a grinder allowing us to remove high spots on several streets to improve drainage.

PARKS, BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS – PB&G staff focused on mowing and weeding in City parks and at City buildings.
