Public Works Monthly Reports

  • Alder Creek had a Peak Day production of 1.086 MG on December 23, 2022.
  • Alder Creek water plant production net of backwash water used was 19.418 MG
  • Brownell Springs production was a total of 6.30 MG and Peak Day production was on December 17th with a total of 208,740 gallons.
  • Portland Water Bureau source production was a total of 3,639,668 gallons with a Peak Day production of 506,083 gallons on December 20, 2022.
  • We recorded a total of 10.38 inches of rainfall at the water plant with peak rainfall on December 26th with a total of 1.21 inches.

  • A total of 60.43 MG of sewage was treated in the month of December
  • On December 27th the Peak day flow was 3.55 MG.
    0.16 inches of rainfall was recorded the day before and 1.21 inches the day of.
  • Monthly rainfall recorded at the plant was 8.30 inches with a peak of 1.35 inches on Christmas Day (December 25th)
  • 768,140 gallons of sludge were dewatered, processed and landfilled during November.
  • Monthly Average Effluent- BOD: 3.38 & TSS: 3.88

EQUIPMENT ISSUES:
1.   RAS 1 Down, nut jammed in impeller and damaged coupling (December 11th)
2.   PLC rewired at WWTP (Week of December 12th)
3.   New Caustic pump added at headworks (December 15th)
4.   WAS 2 communication issues. 15 Strokes (December 19th)
5.   UV/Bank 1A not turning on in Auto. Waste pump 1 malfunctioning through PLC…turning on and off rapidly (December 20th)
6.   Cell 1 diffuser replacement for ASSAB (December 21st)
7.   Ice Storm, Clarifier 1 tripped and Clarifier 2 caught up on scum beach (December 22nd)
8.   Pipe break in solids building (December 26th)
9.   Heavy Rains / High Winds & Power Outages cause multiple disruptions, Clarifier 1 EMC (December 27th)
10. Pipe break fixed (December 28th)
11. City removed rag islands from ASSB (December 29th)
