Furniture
Now that the library staff has settled on the new (and improved!) spot for the Information Desk on the public floor, the Friends of the Sandy had a new desk built to our design specifictions and needs. It’s a gorgeous addition, and functional too! Come see it at the top of the ramp!
Technology
The Sandy Library implemented self service pay for printing and photocopying! This new service allows people to release their print jobs and pay for their printing and photocopying in a vending device, taking staff out of the picture as middle man.
Marketing
In January the Adult book display theme was “The Weather Outside is Frightful… Yet These Books are so Delightful”. We had a total of 14 items checked out (even though the weather actually turned out to be delightful).
The Sandy Public Library is now a bike friendly business!
Hoodland Building Project
Library Staff and architect Petter Kappertz attended the Villages at Mt Hood Town Hall on Saturday, January 24th to show a final floor plan and color swatches to area residents. This was well received, and the project will be put out for construction bid shortly.
