Sandy celebrates it’s 110th Anniversary! Here are the events from the library.

Concerts in the Park
Sol Path Collective – 35 attendees
Scott Pemberton – 170 attendees

Reverse Parade – Hard to calculate attendance.  Probably 125-150 (We had an informal tally at the library 25 people said that they looked at the library’s entry).  A special thank you to the Sandy Community Action Center, The Sandy Historical Society, the Hanley Family and U.S. World Class Taekwondo for their hard work on their entries.  $110 grand prize gift certificate went to the Hanley Family for their Sweet Shop.

Mural Dedication in the Plaza – 75 people attended.  A very special thank you to Becky Hawly for her work on the mural and the event!

Chalk Art Event with Todos Juntos at the Library – 24 people attended

Computer Users

Hoodland 61 sessions

Mobile Printing Send prints from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.  Once the print job is sent, it will sit in a queue waiting to be released to print.  Call the library on the same day to have staff release the print job. Pick up your prints in person or through our Curbside Service.  Starting July 15th, printing is no longer free of charge.
Sandy -35 users printed 129 jobs (371 pages)
Hoodland – 15 users printed 38 jobs (46 pages)

Library Cards Sandy created 14 ecards (90 new library accounts in person), Hoodland created 7 ecards (16 in person).

Curbside pickup of holds has slowed down.  We expect it to pick back up again when the rain returns. 

Checkouts 
Sandy – 2462 sessions. This averages 79 sessions/day (79 last month) 10,370 items
Hoodland – 599 sessions.  This averages 23 sessions/day (up from 21 last month) 2431 items

We checked out a total of 12,801 items(down slightly from last month’s 12,848) through curbside pickup and browsing.

Take and Make -Tissue Paper Painting – 90 kids (Sandy and Hoodland)

Vista Apartments – 46 kids attended outdoor programs (in 3 weeks) at Vista this month!  We were promoting the summer reading program, offering craft activities, and activity challenges.

Storytimes in Meinig Park!
All of the following videos of our live Storytime events in Meinig Park were posted in our Facebook Group: Sandy and Hoodland Libraries – Storytime Parents Group.  Use numbers were recorded after 1 week. All Storytimes were presented by librarian Monica Smith – unless otherwise noted.

Red Cross Blood Drive in the Community Room – 31 people.  They had 25 donors.  1 Deferred.  They met 114% of their goal !
