DHS is in the Library. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm for drop-in assistance.

Computer Users

Hoodland 134 sessions

Mobile Printing Send prints from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.  Once the print job is sent, it will sit in a queue waiting to be released to print.  Call the library on the same day to have staff release the print job. Pick up your prints in person or through our Curbside Service.  
Sandy – 41 users printed 96 jobs (205 pages)
Hoodland – 39 users printed 167 jobs (393 pages)

Sandy – 2632 sessions. This averages 88 sessions/day (90 last month) 9,478 items
Hoodland – 590 sessions.  This averages 23 sessions/day (24 last month) 2,076 items

We checked out a total of 11,554 items(last month 12,337) curbside pickup and browsing.

Kids Programs
Special
4th Grade visits – 58 kids and 5 adults from Sandy Grade visited the library.

Spring Celebration – 27 people visited the library booth at Spring Celebration.  Over 100 attended.

Free Comic Book Day – Sandy 65, Hoodland 11 people.

Ongoing
Vista Apartments – 54 kids and 13 adults attended to make sun catchers and Mother’s Day cards, do beading, and play with rhythm instruments.

Sandy After School Kids’ Club – 14 kids and 5 adults made LEGO creations at LEGO Club,14 kids and 9 adults attended to build marble mazes and play with Picasso Tiles at the STEM program,27 kids and 10 adults attended Art Club with Wy’East Artisans Guild (2x/month)

Take & Make – 125 (103 Sandy and 22 Hoodland) kids pick up supplies to make Flextangles.  Kids Take & Makes are available beginning on the 15th day of the month.

LEGO Club at Hoodland – 8 kids and 4 adults 

Reading Tutoring – 32 one hour sessions of reading tutoring (1 tutor and 1 student each).

Storytimes
Storytime videos were posted in our Facebook Group: Sandy and Hoodland Libraries – Storytime Parents Group.  Use numbers were recorded after 1 week. All Storytimes were presented by librarian Monica Smith – unless otherwise noted.

Take & Make – 90 teens (75 Sandy and 15 Hoodland) picked up supplies to make kIrigami night lights.  The Teen Take & makes are available starting on the 1st day of the month.

Adult Programs
Special
Author Talk – 19 people attended to listen to Matt Reader talk about his book  Extraordinary Oregon.

Pollinators in Your Garden – 14 people attended a gardening talk with a Master Gardener.

Creation Station – Creation Station is a twice monthly interactive program that welcomes adults with disabilities.  12 people attended on the 2nd Monday of the month (Art Lab), 8 people attended the 4th Monday of the month (Maker Lab).

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Class – 6 people attended with 1 tutor
ESOL tutor – 12 one hour sessions (1 tutor and 1 student each)

Writing Group  – 20 people attended our writing group 

American Red Cross Blood Drive – 28 people attended, 23 donors.

Computer Classes – 1 person attended Keyboard and Mouse, 0 people attended Computer Basics , 0 people attended Internet Basics, 1 person attended Microsoft Word.
