DHS is in the Library. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am – 3:00pm for drop-in assistance.

Mobile Printing Send prints from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.  Once the print job is sent, it will sit in a queue waiting to be released to print.  Call the library on the same day to have staff release the print job. Pick up your prints in person or through our Curbside Service.

Teddy Bear Sleepover – Sandy 29 kids and 19 adults, Hoodland 2 kids and 3 adults

Ongoing
Vista Apartments – 52 kids and 2 adults attended to make felted snakes with Karen Morgan, learned to sew puppets and stuffies, and do puzzles.

Sandy After School Kids’ Club – 17 kids and 12 adults made LEGO creations at LEGO Club, 28 kids and 12 adults attended our STEM program Exploring Crayfish featuring Rick Reynolds.. 

Take & Make –  120 (100 Sandy, 20 Hoodland) Van Gogh Mixed Media Art

Our Take & Make kits for kids are available on the 15th with an additional video on Facebook in case you can’t make it to the Make & Take program!  

Reading Tutoring – 17 one hour sessions of reading tutoring (1 tutor and 1 student each).

Read to the Dog – 12 kids participated

Storytimes
Storytime videos were posted in our Facebook Group: Sandy and Hoodland Libraries – Storytime Parents Group.  Use numbers were recorded after 1 week. All Storytimes were presented by librarian Monica Smith – unless otherwise noted.

Seedy Saturday Seed Swap – 90 people attended our seed swap.

Civics Challenge – 28 people signed up and 8 completed our Civics Challenge.

Take & Make – 100 people picked up supplies to make Embroidery Floss Valentines (80 Sandy, 20 Hoodland).  Adult Take & Makes are available starting on the 15th of the month.

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Class – 16 people attended with 1 tutor
ESOL tutor – 9 one hour sessions (1 tutor and 1 student each)

Writing Group  – 11 people attended our writing group

Hoodland – View the watercolor art of Sandy resident Leslie Cheney-Parr Through April 12th.

Sandy – Oregon Flora. Eight local artists, eight different styles, many different plants. Come see their work at Sandy Library through March 2023. Artists in the group include: Sue Allen, Sharon Hale Sandgren, Chelsey Hawkey, Frances Waddell, Megan Durst, Rebekah Lehe MacKenzie, Kelly Williams, and Debrah Spencer.
