Mobile Printing Send prints from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.  Once the print job is sent, it will sit in a queue waiting to be released to print.  Call the library on the same day to have staff release the print job. Pick up your prints in person or through our Curbside Service.

Day of Remembrance – Event with Mt Hood Hospice – 34 people attended

Ongoing
Vista Apartments – 80 kids and 29 adults attended to learn about Worm bin composting, to create art with the Wy’East Artisans, and interact with the Reptile Man.

Take & Make – 120 (100 Sandy and 20 Hoodland) kids pick up supplies to make a nature suncatcher.  Kids Take & Makes are available beginning on the 15th day of the month.

LEGO Club at Hoodland – 5 kids and 2 adults

Reading Tutoring – 12 one hour sessions of reading tutoring (1 tutor and 1 student each).

Storytimes
Storytime videos were posted in our Facebook Group: Sandy and Hoodland Libraries – Storytime Parents Group.  Use numbers were recorded after 1 week. All Storytimes were presented by librarian Monica Smith – unless otherwise noted.

MakerSpace – between 8-11 teens each week attended our 5 week Camp at the Community Center

Take & Make – 100 teens (85 Sandy and 15 Hoodland) picked up supplies to make.  The Teen Take & makes are available starting on the 1st day of the month.

Adult Programs
Special
Mount Hood Resource Fair – 23 stopped by the library booth

Seed Saving Class – 9 people attended

Ongoing
Spanish Language Class – 26 people attended with one teacher

Take & Make – 100 people (80 Sandy, 20 Hoodland) picked up supplies to make wood pendant necklaces.  Take and Makes for adults are available on the 15th day of the month.

Creation Station – Creation Station is a twice monthly interactive program that welcomes adults with disabilities.  22 people attended on the 2nd Monday of the month for a painting class with Becky Hawley, 14 people attended the 4th Monday of the month (Maker Lab).

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Class – 10 people attended with 1 teacher
ESOL tutor – 10 one hour sessions (1 tutor and 1 student each)

Writing Group  – 11 people attended our writing group 

American Red Cross Blood Drive – 60 attendees, 47 donors, 41 units collected. 

Book Clubs
Women’s Book Club – 8 people discussed the books they are reading
Men’s Book Club – 12 people discussed The Passenger by Cormac McCarthy
Hoodland Book Club – 5 people discussed Booth by Karen Joy Fowler
Digital Book Club – 3 people discussed Last Bus to Wisdom by Ivan Doig
