Outreach
Adult Services Librarian, Maureen Houck, visited Avamere to attend their Low Vision Group and talk about library resources. 12 people attended, 4 library cards were issued, 6 items were checked out.
Training
Selectors of materials for the library got initial training in our new selection tool collection HQ. This tool will help us easily figure out what sections of the collection are under/overstocked, which authors and titles are most popular in a given month, which items need to be replaced because they’ve been used many many times and are likely in poor condition (we have DVDs that have circulated upwards of 400 times!), and what it’s time to let go of because no one has checked it out in years (don’t worry, we’ll be keeping the classics!)
Meetings
Stakeholders Meetings for the new Community Center – 4 Teens from the Teen Library Advisory Board and staff member Rebecca Robinowitz from the library attended one meeting; Library Director, Sarah McIntyre attended another.
Civics Programs – 5 Library staff met to confirm our spring civics programs.
