Sandy Library is looking festive!
Sandy High School Art students painted our windows, the Friends of Sandy Library were all set to sell books for presents.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
Approximately 450 people attended the Tree Lighting in person.  Hot cocoa, cookies, and popcorn were eaten.  Crafts were picked up and letters for Santa and Gifts for the Kiwanis Christmas Baskets were dropped off.  The Sandy High School Choir performed and fun was had by all.  A special thank you to DJ Anderson for hosting as MC.

Craft for a Cause 
Homemade Holiday cards were given to Meals on Wheels recipients, and seniors living in Avamere and Cascadia Village.  We gathered 341 cards from the community.  Thanks for taking part!

In partnership with Mt. Hood Hospice to provide warmth and comfort to patients receiving end-of-life care. Knit or crochet a shawl or lap blanket.  Through December we have received 14 shawls and lap blankets.  This program will continue through the end of February.

Hat and Mitten Tree – Hoodland collected a total of 109 items to add to the Christmas basket program

Mobile Printing Send prints from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop.  Once the print job is sent, it will sit in a queue waiting to be released to print.  Call the library on the same day to have staff release the print job. Pick up your prints in person or through our Curbside Service.  

Sandy – 20 users printed 46 jobs (125 pages)
Hoodland – 15 users printed 57 jobs (156 pages)

Library Cards Sandy created 15 ecards (65 new library accounts in person), Hoodland created 4 ecards (7 in person).

Checkouts 
Sandy – 2176 sessions. Averages 81 sessions/day (down from 83 last month) 8688 items
Hoodland – 584 sessions.  Averages 24 sessions/day (down from 28 last month) 2289 items

We checked out a total of 10,977 items(down from last month’s 11,662) through curbside pickup and browsing.
